The New York State 4-H Horse Programs promote knowledge of horsemanship and responsible, ethical equine use, care, and management. They also help youth develop life skills including leadership, responsibility, sportsmanship, teamwork, community service, and positive attitudes of self-worth.
The 4-H Equine program is for individuals who have a passion for horses whether they own one or not [see options to lease a horse for this program]. Youth may join a club or join as an individual member. To learn more about opportunities we offer, visit our pages on Horse Clubs, Horse Bowl & Hippology, Horse Judging, and Horse Speech & Demonstration Contests, as well as local, regional and state Horse Shows, in this section of our website.
