4-H Horse Program
Overview
The New York State 4-H Horse Programs promote knowledge of horsemanship and responsible, ethical equine use, care, and management. They also help youth develop life skills including leadership, responsibility, sportsmanship, teamwork, community service, and positive attitudes of self-worth.
The 4-H Equine program is for individuals who have a passion for horses whether they own one or not [see options to lease a horse for this program]. The New York State 4-H Horse Program and Cornell Cooperative Extension offers a wide variety of Horse projects to New York youth ages 5-19. It is our goal to bring exceptional, educational programming to youth throughout the State while keeping programs affordable for youth and families.
